| 2008 Wisconsin Wildcats Sports Organization's FAQ's Q. Who are the Wisconsin Wildcats Sports Organization? A. The WWSO, was formerly known as the Racine Ballers up until 2005. It is an organization that is based out of Racine, WI and founded by President, Eric Eanes. The WWSO is an all volunteer non-profit organization that allows boys and girls from grades 4th through 12th grade to compete in AAU and other competitive tournaments throughout the United States. Q. What areas do your teams travel? A. We will have various teams traveling in AAU and other competitive tournaments throughout the U.S. Q. Who can be a Sponsor? A. As you may know, our organization is 100% parent and sponsor funded. We accept monetary donations, equipment, and merchandise contributions of any size from corporate sponsors, schools, parent contributions, relatives, churches, co- workers, employers, etc. Q. How are the sponsors donations distributed? A. You can apply your sponsorship to an individual team. You can sponsor the Organization. You can sponsor a specific player. Q. Are sponsors donations tax deductible? A. Yes, every donation received is tax deductible, because we are a non-profit organization 501(C)3. Q. What will the player participation fee be to participate in the organization for 2008? A. The fee for each player will be $325.00. Q. What does our player fee cover? A. Typically player fees cover the cost of: uniforms, shoes, bag, gym fees, insurance (The AAU individual player membership is not included), administrative fees, and some tournaments. Q. When is the player participation fees due? A. All player fees will need to be paid in full by March 1, 2008. No exceptions. Q. Are player fees refundable? A. Due to the fact we are a volunteer organization, there are NO refunds given for any reason. Q. Are there tryouts? A. Some of our teams may require tryouts. The majority of our teams are evaluated individually during the fall/winter basketball season. Q. When do the practices start? A. We will start practicing around January or February, depending on gym availability. Q. When do the tournaments actually start? A. To be determined. Q. How long does the season last? A. Our season goes from March through July or August. Q. What about playing time ~ is there a guarantee? A. The Wisconsin Wildcats Sports Organization, does NOT guarantee equal playing time, but we try to organize teams to be competitive. Playing time is at the discretion of the coach and is based on a 70/30 guideline for attendance at practice, performance during the games, attitude, effort, and game situations. Our focus is to balance playing time with winning, while putting the players on the floor that give us the best opportunity to win at all times.
